Community guidelines

Grabcam works when setups are honest and useful. These rules keep it that way.

Share what you have the right to share

  • Upload your own designs and programs, or work whose license lets you share it. Give credit to the original author.
  • Don't upload customer or employer files that you are not allowed to share.
  • Don't upload files that export control laws or other laws don't let you share publicly.

Make setups useful

  • Share setups you actually ran, on the machine you name.
  • Include the information the next person needs: material, tools, feeds, workholding, and what to watch for.
  • If a setup has a known problem, say so in the notes or fix it.
  • Name your post processor or controller when it matters.

Safety

Every setup is a starting point. Never present a program as “safe to run without checking”. Point out risks you know about, such as tight clearances, long stick-out, or thin walls.

Be decent

  • No harassment, hate, or personal attacks.
  • No spam, advertising disguised as parts, or fake accounts.
  • No malware or files that do something other than what they say.
  • No illegal content.

Reporting

If you see something that breaks these rules, use Report on the part page. For copyright problems, see the copyright policy. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these guidelines or the Terms of Service.
